If this is what you are thinking, then it's quite sad.

Stop WHINING, COMPLAING and BLAMING the system for the way it is. You're just being childish. It's not as if no one else is helping you. You should be glad that people actually bother wasting their precious time and are actually willing to go through so much trouble to try to help you so things might turn how how you would want it to be. SO... STOP whining, complaining and blaming everything around you for heaven's sake. GROW UP.

Your behaviour and attitude is terrible and it is not something to be proud of. So, stop doing things or saying things that show us your terrible attitude. No one ever said we don't want you guys around because you all would lower our standards or whatever nots. But you guys just assume we think that way. It's irritating when you guys say things like, "the system disallows us to play because they are afraid that we would lower your standards etc." The way you say it sounds as if we psycho-ed the people up there to not allow you guys to play.

In case you guys didn't know, things were already like that. It's already happening to secondary schools, an example would be acsi. You all should know that in acsi, there is the normal O level course from sec3-4 to prepare them for the O levels as well as the IB programme which allows them to skip O levels. But for these people who opted for the IB programme, they are not allowed to take part for syfs with their peers taking the O level course. If they wanted to take part, they have to enter syf under a seperate band (an IB band). Their case is quite similar to yours. You're just "unlucky" to be amongst the first few batches of IP students and are unable to form a full band. View it from a different perspective, at least you guys will be able to take part in the syf when you all are TA3s (equivelent to J1s).

If you guys think that it's not fair that you guys can't play. Think again. Some of us were from big bands back in secondary school. And so we did not get to take part in syf when we were in sec1/2. Some of you guys had this privilege of joining your seniors for syf when you were in sec2. It isnt fair that we (those from big bands) only get to perform once in our 4 years of secondary school while our peers from smaller bands get to participate in syf twice. But did we complain? I dont think we did. It's just a part and parcel of the route in life that we chose, and we expected it. We chose to join a cca with a large enrolment, so we should and would have already expected it. It's almost the same, you guys chose this route, coming here earlier, so you should already have expected that some things wont be how it's like in your secondary schools. If you thought that you would have the chance of participating in syf twice in the 4 years here, think again. Life isnt fair. We all know that. So should you. Learn to deal with it. STOP COMPLAINING and WHINING.

And what's with the attitude "since-i-might-not-be-able-to-play, i'm-not needed". This childish and immature attitude should be changed immediately. Just because you might not be playing, it doesnt mean that your attitude towards band should change. What are you trying to imply? Are you trying to imply that you feel enthu and feel passionate about band just because you will be playing for syf. To have a sense of attachment for and to be passionate and about something isnt suppose to arise from the fact that you would be taking part in some competition of some sort. So what if you might not be able to play for syf? There's still the annual concert one week after syf. The number of syfs you participated in doesn reflect whether you are a better player or not. To not play your best and put in any effort just because you might not play just shows us how narrow-minded, childish and immature you are. Remember there's still the annual concert one week after syf. Syf is not the everything though it IS something. Your time will come when it comes.

Ok, I've said quite abit. You may be pissed, irritated, offended with whatever I have written. But i hope whatever I have written would have knocked some sense into you guys if you guys actually read it in the first place. And the "you" i used earlier, is not targeted at anyone in particular, it is just a collective term to address you guys as a group.

That's all.
